Strategic renaming + integrated brand design: from 35-year-old ‘Water Buffalo Club’ to modern ‘We Benefit Children’ – delivered on time, under budget, twice.
When the Water Buffalo Club approached their 35th anniversary, they knew their name wasn’t effectively communicating their mission of helping underserved children in Los Angeles. We didn’t just rebrand an existing organization – we became strategic partners in completely reimagining their identity.
Our role went far beyond typical design work. We facilitated the strategic renaming process that led to “We Benefit Children,” ensuring they maintained their recognizable “WBC” initials while clearly expressing their mission. Because we were developing both the new logo and website simultaneously, every design decision informed the other – logo color choices influenced the website’s visual system, while website functionality requirements shaped how the brand elements worked across digital platforms.

The integrated approach delivered:
